Projects: We use projects to enhance the team based learning and to provide a fun way to let the students apply what they have learned to a problem that is not part of the traditional introductory course curriculum. We use the guiding principle that students are more likely to enjoy a project if it helps people or the World and contains a bit of whimsey. Three projects are given during the course and we switched groups for each project. The groups assigned for each project are also the groups that are participating in the in-class activities, the homework and the RAAs for that section of the course. The deliverables for each project consist of either a 2 minute whiteboard video, a poster, or a 4 minute video.
